Gender Discrimination At Work

Gender discrimination at work is illegal and is defined as an employer or other person making important decisions regarding an individual's job (hiring, firing, promotions, pay, demotions, etc.) based on an individual's gender. For instance, if a qualified woman applies for a job and is turned down, but an equally qualified man is hired, the woman may have a gender discrimination case. Individuals can complain to the EEOC if they have experienced gender discrimination. Those who have experienced female discrimination should consider speaking with a discrimination attorney in order to determine whether they have a valid claim. Often times, discrimination attorneys can obtain settlements without the victim having to go to court.
