ELI expands its Civil Treatment(R) series of programs with the release of CT Impact(R): Focus on Sexual Harassment Prevention. Available in classroom, online, and interactive webcast versions, the two-hour program reinforces key concepts introduced in the foundational Civil Treatment for Managers course while focusing specifically on a manager's responsibility to prevent, detect, and correct workplace harassment.According to ELI president Stephen M. Paskoff, Esq., managers play an increasingly important role in building an organization's culture. "There are always legal reasons -- such as the recently passed California AB 1825 legislation -- to implement an initiative like this," says Paskoff. "But the business reasons are the most compelling. Training on the law will only get you so far. Building a values-driven culture will take you to the next level. Like other programs in ELI's Civil Treatment series, CT Impact focuses on changing behavior and building skills through practical guidelines and engaging exercises. Whether they participate online, via webcast, or in the classroom, managers apply organizational policy and course concepts to real-life scenarios, seeing firsthand how their actions and decisions impact employees, the work environment, and the business.Regardless of delivery method, the course can be customized to ensure content relevance and continuity with other organizational initiatives. Paskoff, who is Vice Chair of the ABA's Compliance Training and CommunicationCommittee, says integration is key, and he advises companies to think beyond just the training. "We've been working with clients on strategic implementation planning because that's where they're really seeing a competitive advantage," he says."Anyone can do training, but what sets organizations apart is their ability to consistently align behavior with values so that everyone is able to work towards achieving the business mission."The online version of CT Impact: Focus on Harassment Prevention is AICC and SCORM compliant and can be delivered via CD-Rom, an organization'sintranet, or the Internet. The classroom and webcast versions can be facilitated by professional ELI instructors or an organization's in-house ELI-certified instructors.
