Dover- Delaware State Police detectives charged a 69-year-old Dover man with Unlawful Imprisonment, Sexual Harassment and other related charges after he allegedly made unwanted sexual advances and exposed himself to three separate women.
On Sunday, January 13, 2008 State Troopers responded to a residence located along the 100 block of Fairlane Drive, Dover to investigate a reported unlawful sexual contact complaint.
Upon arrival troopers contacted a 27-year-old Dover woman who alleged she responded to the residence to buy a part for her car from a man later identified as Thomas S. Wilson, Jr., 69, of Dover.
The victim met Wilson online while searching the internet for a mirror to fit her car. Wilson told the woman he had the mirror and told her she could just stop by his house and pick it up.
The victim responded to Wilson’s home and agreed to buy the mirror. While inside the residence Wilson allegedly asked he victim to engage in sex with him and exposed himself to her.
According to the victim she refused Wilson’s advances and he allegedly touched and rubbed her body before exposing himself again. The victim told investigators that she tried to leave but Wilson stood in front of the doorway and would not allow her to leave. During this investigation troopers learned of two other alleged incidents involving Wilson.
On Saturday, January, 12, 2008, a 34-year-old Dover woman contacted state troopers after she was allegedly sexually harassed by Wilson. The woman reported that on January 11, 2008 she responded to Willow Tree MHP in Dover to pick up a rental agreement from the Land lord later identified as Wilson.
When she arrived, she met Wilson at the rental office. While inside he allegedly sexually harassed the victim and asked her to have sex. After the victim turned Wilson down, he told her the rental property had already been rented out.
As the investigation continued, investigators learned that a third victim, a U.S. Postal Service employee, alleged Wilson approached her and exposed himself to her as she delivered mail to his residence. That alleged incident occurred on August 15, 2007.
As a result of these investigations troopers formally charged Wilson with the following criminal offenses: Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree (misdemeanor), three counts of Sexual Harassment (misdemeanors), two counts of Indecent Exposure (misdemeanors), Unlawful Sexual Contact (misdemeanor) and Offensive Touching (misdemeanor).
