Sexual Harassment - EEOC
Sexual
harassment is a form of sex discrimination that violates Title VII of
the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VII applies to employers with 15 or
more employees, including state and local governments. It also applies
to employment agencies and to labor organizations, as well as to the
federal government.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
The
EEOC is the federal agency responsible for enforcement of: Title VII of
the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; the Equal Pay Act of 1963;
the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA); in the Federal
sector only, section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; Title I of
the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA); and the Civil Rights
Act of 1991. These statutes prohibit employment discrimination based on
race, sex, color, religion, national origin, age, or disability. The
EEOC is also responsible for carrying out Executive Order 12067, which
promotes coordination and minimizes conflict and duplication among
Federal agencies that administer statutes or regulations involving
employment discrimination.
