Sexual Quid Pro Quo

Sexual quid pro quo is the offering of benefits in return for sexual favors. This is a form of sexual harassment. While this behavior is most often committed by some form of authority, such as a supervisor at work, it can be committed by a peer as well. The Civil Rights Act of 1963, Title VII prohibits this kind of sexual harassment and the EEOC enforces it. Anyone who has been a victim of sexual quid pro quo should consider filing a complaint with the EEOC or contacting a sexual harassment attorney. An attorney can explain the rights of the individual, what options they have, what moves they should make next and whether or not their case is strong enough to be the basis of a lawsuit.
