Sexual Harassment Training Law

Sexual harassment is the unwanted and unwelcomed sexual behavior displayed through gestures, conversations, inquiries, joking, unfair treatment, and other things on the basis of sex. Sexual harassment training law refers to the mandatory training that some companies must go through to be in compliance with the law. In short, all companies that hold more than 15 employees must train them on what sexual harassment is and what the legal ramifications are for those found in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This act includes the prohibition of sexual harassment in the workplace, schools, organization, or other public, private, or municipal institution. Therefore, these companies must train their people to report these incidents, know when a questionable incident can be considered sexual harassment, make sure they do not get involved in it, and become more educated about what they can do when they see it.
