Sexual Harassment Suit

A sexual harassment suit occurs when one party sues another in a court of law for sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is against the law, and therefore indivdiuals have the right to seek legal recourse against their harassors. Those who are suing must prove that they were affected by certain behavior in the defendant and that most people would have felt offended. They may also have to prove that the defendant created a hostile environment at work, school, or the place the harassment occured. Any individual who experiences discrimination in the workplace should contact an attorney to find out about their legal rights. An attorney who is experienced in discrimination laws and suits can tell a client whether or not they have a legitimate case. It's important that discrimination does not go unpunished out of fear of retaliation, as individuals are protected from that as well under the law.
