Sexual Harassment Law Suits

Sexual harassment lawsuits occur when an employee feels emotionally distressed due to another employee, employer, or another person outside of the company. One recent sexual harassment lawsuit occurred when an employee of Pet Smart endured sexual harassment that was unwelcome by a store manager who engaged in grabbing his genitals while speaking to the female employee, as well as making explicit sexual comments and innuendoes. PetSmart was ordered to pay $125,000, due to their failure to stop the harassment, which is required by law. Additionally, the company was found to retaliate against the female manager in response to her complaint. This occurred when the store manager yelled at her and made belittling remarks in front of other employees. In addition to this, the female worker was followed around and given discipline despite having a good job performance, which eventually lead to her quitting.
