Sexual Harassment Hostile Work Environment

There are two major types of sexual harassment; hostile work environment and quid pro quo. Hostile work environment means that the environment has become so abusive and offensive that the victim is unable to function properly at work. An example of sexual harassment hostile work environment would be if a particular employee continuously made sexual comments to a co-worker, said them in front of others, posted notes on the bulletin board, or humiliated the co-worker in some other way. When this occurs, individuals have the right to contact a sexual harassment attorney, and even file a lawsuit if the attorney and the client feel the case is strong enough.
