Sexual harassment at school is illegal. Students are protected by Title IX of the Academic Amendments, as well as the Civil Rights Act. Unfortunately, sexual harassment at school still happens. In fact, nearly 80% of girls in a recent survey replied that they had been sexually harassed at school at one point or another. Parents of students or students of legal age can file a lawsuit for sexual harassment at school. Any time sexual harassment happens at school, the victim should take action.
