Sex Discrimination Lawsuits

In the workplace, there are laws and regulations that protect workers from incurring discrimination from their employer. There are many aspects of oneself that an employer can discriminate against; one of these is gender. Although most people believe it is only women who are discriminated against, both men and women can be discriminated against on the basis of their sex or gender. A good example of a woman being discriminated against is a law enforcement job; since there are more policemen that are male on the force, sometimes a woman can be discriminated against for this role. On the other side of the coin is a nursing job; nursing has been a profession more common for women throughout the years. However, men are known to seek this profession and sometimes incur discrimination in the process. Sex discrimination lawsuits cover the discrimination against an individual when it comes to employment, training, and opportunity on the basis of the individual's sex or gender.
