Public Sexual Harassment

Public sexual harassment is when an instance of sexual harassment occurs in a public setting. This may be an instance of improper touching on a street or on the subway. A person may grope another on a bus or on the dance floor of a club. Public sexual harassment can consist of lewd and uncalled for remarks made by men or women on a street corner or on a construction site. The remarks, actions or behavior comprising public sexual harassment are uncalled for, unwanted and unwarranted by the victim. In many instances, charges of public harassment pass unremarked. The victims ignore the situation. Rarely do individuals lay charges of public sexual harassment. Fault may lie in the nature of the incident.
