How To Prevent Sexual Harassment

Learning how to prevent sexual harassment is a very important aspect of any employee training process. Sexual harassment is a form of sex or gender discrimination. Because of this, it is considered to be a violation of federal law as stated in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Most companies now have sexual harassment courses as part of their employee training programs. However, they are not required by law to have these types of training classes. Sexual harassment often happens in the workplace and anyone can become a victim of sexual harassment. Although companies should have training programs that work to prevent sexual harassment, this is not always enough to dissuade harassers. Victims should never feel as if they are to blame for sexual harassment, but there are a few things that they can do to stop it from occurring. To stop sexual harassment, first let it be known that the actions are not welcome. If the actions continue, they should then be reported.
