How To File Sexual Harassment Charges

Whether you are a man or woman, you have a right to seek help if you are being sexually harassed on the job, in school, or in any other municipal setting or organization. In today's world, it is not only women who become victims of sexual harassment, men experience the same things. The reason many men do not report it is because by nature, most men react differently to sexual advances, gestures, or conversation that is sexual in nature. However, man who does not invite this behavior can feel just as threatened, embarrassed, or belittled as a woman. If you need to file sexual harassment charges in the United States, you simply need to call the EEOC and file a complaint. However, the behavior must be continuous after the victim has made it clear that it is uninvited. If this cannot be determined, there is little chance that the charges will result in favor of the victim. To file a claim with the EEOC, you must provide dates, names, locations, and specifics of the harassment. Also, the claim must be filed within 45 days of the said violation. Victims do not need to worry about retaliation because if the accused retaliates, he/she will increase the outcome of the case exponentially; judges do not take kindly to retaliation in these matters.
