File Sexual Harassment Complaint

People who file a sexual harassment complaint are of either sex and the harasser filed against can be either man or women. Sexual harassment entails a behavior from another individual that is unwelcome and of a sexual nature. These behaviors include things, such as requests for sexual favors, advances, along with any other verbal or physical contact, which causes the victim distress. An individual is protected both federally and on a state level against these types of behaviors. Any person, whether indirectly or directly harassed has a right to file a complaint without fear of retaliation. Usually, anyone who feels victimized by sexual harassment is advised to inform the harasser either verbally or through other actions, which display that they unwelcome and disapprove of the harasser's sexual behaviors towards them. Additionally, the individual should use the employer's available resources for reporting and filing complaints. When these methods prove ineffective, then the victim should contact EEOC or another agency of similarity.
